Addiction Recovery for
Addicts and Alcoholics at Recovery Life is here to supply you
with all your recovery needs. The 12 Step
Fellowship has saved my life. By applying
the suggestions of the program, I have been transformed into a
positive and enlightened person, who is full of hope that you too
can gain the level of understanding that I have by working the
program. If you have an addiction, whether
it's Alcohol,
Drugs, gambling,
sex, love addiction, or whatever,
then you will discover that this website
is for you. The general principles of the 12 Step program is
discussed, as I share my experience, strength, and hope to all
who desire positive
change.
I am an active member of the 12 Step
Fellowship, and I've done extensive research on all
aspects of recovery, personal growth, spiritual
development, and positive change. It is my intention to
share the knowledge that I've gained, so that you too can gain
the level of awareness and understanding that can lead you to a
successful recovery. Most addicts, alcoholics, and the like have
tried to quit on their own, and it is nearly impossible to stay
clean and sober without the loving support of the 12 Step
Fellowship. This is a proven program of success, and with it,
you can't go wrong.
Recovery for
Addicts and Alcoholics at
Recovery Life has a lot of information that is freely available
because my ultimate purpose is to spread the message of hope that
is available to us in our recovery through the 12 steps either in a drug rehab or not.. This site is designed to
give you basic knowledge and awareness of the 12
Step program. Not only will you be led through each of the 12
Steps, but you will also be given my personal thoughts and
feelings on each topic as it has applied to my Recovery. I've lived and worked this
program of Recovery, and I am grateful for the opportunity to
share my experience, strength, and hope. I am a real Recovering
Addict and Alcoholic, who has lived and applied these
principles in
my own Recovery. Now it is my hope that you too can
achieve victory in your own recovery. I will show you the way
to true peace, personal fulfillment,
and spiritual
enhancement. You too
can obtain a spiritual
awakening, as you apply the 12 Steps to
freedom.

Hope, Dream, Imagine
By Carol Preston
After a solid month of settling into my new "job"
as a resident Chaplain, I have found my way back to my writing for this column.
I have missed writing each week for this column. This has been a pretty big
change for me, to work for a hospital and now as a chaplain. Who would have
thought this Catholic gal would find herself in her late 40's as a resident
Chaplain and ministering to the sick and the staff. I also have clinical class's
that require reading and writing, as well as sharing on call over night shifts,
as I also get to know the other six residents all from various backgrounds and
a wealth of experiences.

Journeys
By Kim Park
Over two and a half years
ago, I started my journey into a new life.
The beginning was the easiest leg of my journey. Results were
tangible. Everyday I didn't drink, I was one step ahead of my
life for the previous fifteen years. I went through physical
changes; losing weight, my body detoxing, and patterns in my
sleep changed significantly. The first few months I was able to
see that my choice was a good one. Not drinking was the ONLY road
I traveled on at that point (finish the

Unrequited Love
By Susan Peabody
“Does the
imagination dwell the most upon a woman won or a woman
lost?” William Butler Yeats in The Tower

Many people find they
have a history of falling in love with an unavailable person
and they wonder why this keeps happening to them over and over
again. The following is a list of the most common reasons they
keep falling into this trap.
Reminders of our first
love: We are always attracted
to people who remind us of our first love. If a person's first
love was an absent or emotionally unavailable parent, then he or
she is only attracted to unavailable people, and this is the only
kind of person they pursue. They do this out of habit, despite
the pain it will cause them later on (finish the
